Hotonnes is about 8-9 hours drive from Calais, but there are countless stop off points en-route - Formula 1 type Hotels are very cheap and usually clean or one can go slightly upmarket to an Hotel with on site restaurant such as Ibis. The House is approx. 30 mins. drive from the AutoRoute (total road tolls approx €50) nearest exit (No.8) Saint Martin du Frene. 

Several flights are available to Lyon, Geneva, Chambery and St Etienne.   Nearest airport is Geneva.

The nearest TGV station is at Bellegarde-sur-Valserine (26.5 km) where one can easily hire a car.
